My experience with 34/70 shows it to be a workhorse yeast:

Keep it cool/cold, you have a good lager

Let it warm up (60-68) you have a clean ale

It's my Swiss Army beer yeast.

I have yet to try the ale angle with it, but I like everything you laid down.

Today's Am. amber lager is now in the primary.  Unusually smooth and fast brewday; wonder what I screwed up.

If you try the ale route, try to keep the wort temp between 60 and 65 degrees or so for the duration of the primary.

I've had really nice results keeping it in this range, which is helpful in the summer, when keeping a lager primary in the low 50's can be a challenge.

I have to keg a pattersbier and will have a big old slurry of yeast so I am thinking of a Belgian Golden Strong.

I've got the Grainfather set up for a German pils.  Likely Sat.
